Automatically import into timeline based on date modifed

PostMon Jun 28, 2021 7:51 am

Hi,

if I had a timeline that started at 00:00:00 (so 12am), would it be possible when I import a bunch of clips to have them automatically place themselves based on their date modified time?

If not, is there at least a text box somewhere where I can type where in the timeline I want this clip to go? instead of dragging it into place?

If you set the clip timecodes appropriately, you can right click the media and select "Insert ... using Timecode".

For setting timecodes for a large number of clips from clip path or filename or creation date or modification date or other logic, please look up the 'GetClipProperty' and 'SetClipProperty' in the Scripting API.

You will need DaVinci Resolve 17.0 or newer.
