Why does rendering show complete when its not?

Howdy. First time this happened, where rendering shows "completed," but the actual footage rendered is maybe just 20%. The "cursor" (not sure of the proper name) is shown stopped at the 20% point. Only thing I can think of is that I recorded the footage as 4k 30fps, and when I chose the rendering option for resolution at 3840 x 2160, it came back with a warning saying that something is not matching with something. I went ahead and stuck with that setting. Anywho, seeing if anyone has a recommendation for settings in DaVinci, when I shoot at 4k 30fps on my GoPro, and I want the highest quality footage from DaVinci, for YouTube. Also, what might be the fix for rendering that does not render all my video files, but still shows "completed." Thanks.

I’ve not seen this so need more details to repo.
Note, individual clip renders are source clip with grade applied, for dailies and edit round trip, so it’s likely not suitable for your desired workflow

I thought it was puzzling too. The only way I found out was when I uploaded that DaVinci created clip into YouTube, and found only a portion that I had created in DaVinci was viewable. When I went back to DaVinci to investigate, it was then that I discovered the completed status of rendering, while the cursor had stopped at the 205 mark. It was, like, "Where is the rest of my clip?!" I had experienced something a little different before, where rendering would stop abruptly and give a notification that something malfunctioned. That was corrected by clicking on the Davinci tab in the extreme upper left corner, then going to preferences, then user, then unchecking the box that says "stop render when a clip cannot be processed." I though it might be, that there was a format within my GoPro captured clips that DaVinci did not like, so I put each clip into the Tipard Video Converter, which converts clips into a recognizable format. It was from these Tipard adjusted clips that I made my video in DaVinci.
Peter, I am going to make a new video in Davinci, using Tipard adjusted clips, and see how it renders and will update this post. Thank you.

Peter, the video that was put together in Davinci composed of my GoPro clips, and the one that showed completed but was only 20% rendered, I deleted. Then, I took the same GoPro clips, put them together in DaVinci and this time watched it render. It made it past the point where it stopped previously, and rendered all the way till completion. I was having trouble with YouTube freezing at the 6 or 12% upload stage, so for good measure, I ran the DaVinci-created clip through the Tipard Converter again prior to uploading it to YouTube. There, it uploaded successfully. So not able to duplicate the problem, but having success with the rendering in DaVinci and uploading in YouTube, I feel everything is okay for now. Okay to close this ticket. Thanks for your consideration.
