Camera clips offline in *media storage*

PostTue Jun 29, 2021 10:56 am

I have camera clips (XAVC Intra 4:2:2, 4096x2160, MXF) which appear as offline, and are unreadable, when I navigate to them in Media Storage even before importing them. This is on a recent MacBook Pro (Intel, macOS 11.1, DR 17.2.1).

On my older iMac (macOS 10.15.17, DR 17.2.1), the exact same clips not only display properly in Media Storage but can also be imported and edited.

I was hoping to use the MacBook to create proxy media for everything while I prepare the project on my main computer. I don't have the slightest idea why DR shows the files as offline.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Most likely it's a Free vs Studio issue.

Check versions carefully.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
