New to video editing. I'm trying to cut out small pauses in an interview. That seems to work ok using the edit page. When I play the section with the cut it's fine in Resolve. But after rendering the file produced has more cut out. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Off hand, no. Are you using the trim tools or defining the part to be cut out with In and Out points? As you are a new user you may benefit from looking at Blackmagic's free training resources which you will find here. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/uk/products/davinciresolve/training

Thanks for getting back to me. What I do is, in the edit page, use the blade tool to make 2 cuts, then back to the select tool, then delete the section between the cuts. After that I let the playhead run over the cut and it sounds fine - I've just cut out a small pause in the video as intentded.
Then I render it. But the file created has more cut out - the pause is removed as intended, but also the first 2 seconds or so from after the cut are gone too.
