Timeline Zoom without pressing Alt(Option)

Is there any way to customize the way u zoom? It would be much more convenient to use the mouse wheel without pressing the ALT button if I want to zoom in or out in timeline (horizontally). Is there any way mb to reassign\turn of modifiers related to mouse wheel. I mean how to make scrolling to zoom instead of navigating up and down? Any options? Best regards.

Deselect "Enable 2D Timeline Scroll" in the View menu.

I already tried that. Did you? It makes the scroll to scrub timeline forward and backward. Zoom in and out is still Alt+scroll, whether the "Enable 2D Timeline Scroll" on or off.

Have you looked into custom keyboard preferences?
