Hello,

Many time "lost" to lock manual and youtube tuto but can't find how to solve that:

Two video tracks,
on top: a single small clip
on bottom: full of clips, from in to out

How can I insert that small clip on bottom track ?
A simple move from track 2 to track 1 make an overwrite in track 1.
How to obtain an insert instead?

Select and copy (ctrl-c) or cut the clip on track 2. Option click the track auto-selector on track 1. Position the playhead where you want to insert the clip on track 1. Paste insert (ctrl-shift-v).
