I was born with a mouse in my hand

I consider myself a power user, when I was interning at a film color correction/editing lab in Paris 30 years ago, somebody was showcasing next door an offline editing system maybe, lightworks or something like that. We didn't even bother to check it out, super8 was better than anything video, let alone computer video, for us at that time. I rarely had the opportunity to work with film after that internship. I found jobs working in the theater and with video and by 1996 was almost fully immersed into a digital workflow.

Resolve crashed, Ok, I can't afford a graphics card that costs as much as a used car (which I don't own by the way) I teach in the University in Greece. I restarted, blue line has disappeared except from the first clip. It is 11:14 I started rendering at 11:05 at 11:07 I realized I hadn't checked show all frames again (since it is not persistent) It is 11:16 I am halfway through a 15 min timeline. Since I am not working anyway, I might well start sh..posting. I can see the attraction. After lurking silently on forums for 20 years plus. At 12:00 I have to go. This project doesn't seem to find it's pace. The theme is an obscure text by Wittgenstein on color.

Is it so difficult catering to the needs of seasoned editors with traditional workflows. Duplicate timeline is back, (mille merci), can't we please have persistent renders across projects, optimized media back, show all video frames at least sticking clip durations as text on the clips in the timeline and all the other small fixes (some of them at least are small I presume), instead of bending over backwards for the needs of the insatiable Adobe crowd 8-) .

11:24 nearly done.

I don't to work anymore, I just want to read the forums, write self absorbing remarks, and let the software be creative instead of me.

Your system should be fine for HD, but first thing to check is your GPU driver. Get it directly from Nvidia and do a clean install. And then, what’s your timeline resolution and your source’s format and codec?

BTW, I’m in the same boat. I tried to edit with Media100 in the nineties.

There is a separate forum for Feature Requests.

viewforum.php?f=33

Best practice is to search first, to see if someone already asked. If not, post one idea per thread with a very brief description of the idea in the thread's title.

Here's one you might like to add your vote to.
