When will a DeckLink with HDMI 2.1 ever come?

Hello,

I got a Asus Proart PA32UCG monitor and its key features are HDMI 2.1 and 120HZ VRR. Unfortunately I couldn't find any HDMI decklink that can support these features to its full potential.

I would like to understand whether there is any DeckLink Or Blackmagic product that can provide the best experience for Color grading in HDR and Dolby Vision?

Thanks
Paul

What will HDMI 2.1 offer HDR grading that you can't get now using a proper HDR grading monitor (which will likely have an SDI connection anyway)?

I agree professional grading monitor costing $25k+ would anyway have SDI but monitors like Asus Proart PA32UCG which costs $5k which I've got uses HDMI 2.1 which as the latest standard along with other features and ports wouldn't be utilized to it's fullest if you are using tech that's 7yrs old.

The DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G was launched in 2014 with HDMI 2.0b so seems quite outdated considering the monitor technology has moved leaps and bounds with 120HZ VRR & various color calibration capabilities.

So I hope that anyone from BMD could shed some light on a upgraded daughter card with HDMI 2.1 options or may be a current gen standard version with best 4k features like Dynamic HDR for a foreseeable future for colorists to take advantage of tech like Dolby Vision & HDR grading.

You don't need HDMI 2.1 to do Dolby Vision or other HDR standards, including dynamic HDR (HDR10+, DV, etc). You do need it for 4K 120Hz. There is no VRR in the video so that is moot.
