I'm currently using the free version of Resolve and I'd like to be able to import more that one timeline at a time. Can you do this in the studio version?

I don't know about the free version, but in the studio version you can work with multiple timelines open at once.

I believe David is asking whether you can import more than one timeline, not work with multiple timelines in the same project.

As far as I know, you can only import one timeline at a time.

Yes you can. In the manual, search how to export and import DaVinci Resolve Bin files (.drb).

It is a new feature in 17, and is the only way to import multiple timelines at once.

Right-click any bin containing multiple timelines, choose "export bin," then import to wherever you want.

Keep in mind, that anything else in the bin will also be imported, which is very useful as you can import media that has been manually synced and tagged with a bunch metadata without losing the hard work of all that metadata entry. Keep only timelines in the bin if that is all you want to move around.

Even easier, if you are already working in Resolve, is to turn on Dynamic Project switching (right-click any empty space in the project manager window, which you can bring up by pressing Shift+1), Ctrl-C the bin containing the multiple timelines, switch to the other project, then Ctrl-V in the media pool in the new project and voilá.
