There is a bug in Resolve Studio 17.2.2 Build 4 on both the Cut and Edit pages, in the font selection drop-down menu.

If you have multiple text clips with the same font, the menu works as expected. It will drop down to show the available fonts.

If you have multiple text clips with different fonts, the menu shows up empty, and you can't click anywhere in the menu to set all the selected clips to the same font.

Hi

Have you checked you font path map as the OS font folder may have permissions on.

You can make a custom font list for resolve to avoid having lots of system fonts in the list you don't use.

FYI. I do not have the same issue, which is why I think it is possibly something outside resolve or a changed setting.

I don't have too many fonts installed, and it's not that anyway. It's definitely a bug. If I click the menu and then press the Down Arrow and then Enter, the menu will populate and work as expected.

Good info!
Picking a good Font becomes easier after clearing out the 'junk'
Thanks!

As you have both text boxes selected at the same time, and the fonts are different in each one, it's not surprising that the Inspector does not know which to display. With only one text box selected all is fine.

If the Inspector does not know which to display, it should display all fonts. The purpose of the drop down menu isn't to display the currently selected font, but to choose a font from the available installed fonts.

Right now it does neither. Also, like I said, if you press Down and then Enter, it will work as expected. How else are you supposed to set the font on multiple clips?
