Hi,

I've searched the forums and can't seem to pinpoint what I need. I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction. This seems like I simple task but I don't want to mess this up.

I need to deliver a finished film with 5.1 and stereo as an 8 track Quicktime ProRes to the distributor but I don't know how to do this.

I'm assuming they will just rip the audio tracks off and re-render what they need so it's not really a 5.1 and stereo, it's just 8 separate tracks and this Quicktime is not for viewing. I'm sure this is a very normal thing that distributors and/or post houses require.

I have all the stems ready to go I just don't know what the delivery audio settings in DaVinci should be.

I'm a novice at DaVinci and have mostly used it to process dailies and pull VFX shots and export rough cuts to clients. I don't normally finish.

Thank you in advance,
Dan

1. Set up a timeline using 8 mono tracks
2. Make sure your Audio Clips are interpreted in Clip Attributes with the appropriate number of mono tracks.
3. Edit in your 5.1 first making sure they are in the correct order. Tracks 1-6 will be your 5.1 and 7-8 your stereo L/R
4. On delivery Page - Audio
Create 8 mono output tracks set to "timeline track" and the set the "track number"

This information is on the forum.
I believe I searched "multitrack export" or multichannel export" when I had located the thread.

Great. I searched 5.1 and all I found was how to do a 5.1 output.

Multitrack was the keyword I was missing.

Thank you so much!
