Resolve 17 recording audio bug, no output / track disapears

Can't figure this out and assume at this point it is a bug.

I have a project open in Fairlight to record and audio/narration track. The track is patched to my microphone just fine. The track is then armed for recording. I start recording and get the red band as time increases. The waveform shows up and shows audio is being picked up and 'recorded.' However when I stop recording, I draw the playhead back to play to the audio and ....nothing. No audio output. The other tracks from other clips play back fine, so I know the audio output system works. But it plays nothing back of what I record over the mic. Stranger still, when I do a single click on the recorded clip, the clip disappears. No signs of it.

What the heck is going on? Any ideas? Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Below is a screencast of what happens.

I had a problem with a track recording not working because the mono output of the mic was trying to be recorded onto a stereo track. When I changed the track type to mono it worked. Your problem is very unique, so it could be a bug, like you said; but maybe it's a mismatched track-type thing? Other than that, I got nothing

System spec? viewtopic.php?f=21&t=90190

Confirm that Resolve has been granted permission to access the device and the storage volume.
System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Microphone
System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Full Disk Access & Files and Folders

Yes, All have access checked for Resolve. Mic has access to Resolve, Resolve has access to full disk and folder access.

Is the same behaviour present patching a Buss Output to a new Timeline Track?

Iv'e never done that before, so I'm not familiar with how to do it or what that does. Is there an easy list of instructions on how to set that up?

Create a new Project with a new Timeline and configure two Audio Tracks.
A1 = source Audio Clip
A2 = destination “Record Track”

Bus Format:
Bus 1 = “Mix”
Bus 2 = “Aux Buss”

Bus Assign:
A1 “Source” > Bus 2 “Aux Buss”
A2 “Record Track” > Bus 1 “Mix”

Patch IO:
Source > Bus Out > Bus 2 “Aux Buss”
Destination > Track Input > A2 “Record Track”

Arm (Record enable) A2 “Record Track” and record the source Audio Clip duration.

Confirm that a new Audio Clip is available on A2 “Record Track” and that signal is present on the Timeline Track and Bus 1 “Mix”.
