Merge Apply Mode and Colors

PostTue Jul 20, 2021 12:53 pm

Hi there,

I made an animation with the circles of this logo in Resolve Fusion.
For the three "main" colors, I picked them from the sample of the logo that I got. My problem is that I don't find the Apply Mode of the two Merge (one for Ellipse1_3 and one for Ellipse1) in order to get the right colors where the circles overlap. For the export that I join here, the Apply Mode is Screen.
Maybe I should use another technique...
Can anybody help?

This is the sample of the logo that I need to reproduce.

You need a darkening effect so screen will not work as you already discovered, because screen results in brighter output than either input. Try multiply for example.

In fact I tried all of the Apply Modes. Multiply doesn't succeed in getting the right colors...
This is the reason why I think there might be another technique.

It can be a combination of transparency, blending mode and colorspace where blend is applied. Last is maybe irrelevant in your case, but could be part of it depending on where the logo was originally created.

If you need to produce a match and can’t find the combination you can always create different parts by using mask booleans and coloring each piece separately exactly as needed.
