Render Fail - Clips Swapped Randomly

PostWed Jul 21, 2021 5:19 pm

After many hours of editing timelines, then assembling the timelines (segments) into a master, after rendering DR swapped dozens of my clips for other random clips from my media pool. How can this even be a thing? Can I recover without manually replacing each swapped clip with its intended original? Hours wasted. Please help.

My two guesses: either the conform lock is confused, or the render cache is confused. Try clearing the render cache first, because that's the easiest fix. If the conform lock is screwy, it'd be good to try to understand why first before mucking around with it more.

Does the render actually Fail, as in never completes, and generates an error? Or does it finish, but with incorrect results? If it's the former, it could also be a GPU/compute problem.

Is there a chance that you rendered over your original files/folders?
