If the composite is already done in Premiere, as far as I know, all you can do is export that from Premiere as a separate file and then drop that into Resolve.
But if by "asset" you mean the smoke itself, if the smoke clip is on a separate layer and has an alpha channel, you can bring just the smoke clip in and it should key on a separate track (as with most editing programs). There are also basic compositing tools available on the Edit page (and the Color page). And you can do more complex compositing on the Fusion page.
