Terrible performance of Resolve Studio 17.2.2

Hi there,
I have two machines running Davinci Resolve Studio 17.2.2.
One machine is
Running DaVinci Resolve Studio v17.2.2.0004 (Windows/MSVC x86_64)
BMD_BUILD_UUID 9655cbc2-cde2-401c-b703-b74f8e4101e5
Windows 10 Home (Build 19042)
Model: IL SKol_IL
CPU: Intel Core i7-1065G7, 8 threads, x86-64
4.6 GiB used of 15.8 GiB
Detected 1 GPUs:
- "Intel Iris Plus Graphics" (gpu:adaad847.5f6737f1) <- Main Display GPU
Integrated, 6.3 GiB VRAM, PCI:0:2.0
Matches: DirectX, OpenCL, Win32
Clips and program are stored on the internal 1TB SSD

On this machine, Resolve works like a charm. I can work smooth and without any problems. When it comes to editing 4K BRAW clips, I have to use half resolution proxy media, but still can work without any problems.

The other machine is
Running DaVinci Resolve Studio v17.2.2.0004 (Windows/MSVC x86_64)
BMD_BUILD_UUID 9655cbc2-cde2-401c-b703-b74f8e4101e5
Windows 10 Pro (Build 19042)
Model: Clevo NS51MU
CPU: 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7, 8 threads, x86-64
12.8 GiB used of 31.8 GiB
Detected 2 GPUs:
- "Intel Iris Xe Graphics" (gpu:ba26b96c.5f6737f1) <- Main Display GPU
Integrated, 12.7 GiB VRAM, PCI:0:2.0
Matches: DirectX, OpenCL, Win32
- "Intel Iris Xe Graphics" (gpu:ba26b96c.eb400896)
Integrated, Unknown VRAM, PCI:0:0.0
Matches: DirectX
Clips and program are stored on the internal 500GB SSD

On this machine, Resolve suddenly (about 14 days ago) started to heavily slow down. Starting Resolve and opening projects is much slower than on the first machine (which has the lower Specs).
Timeline Playback is simply not useable since I get something like 0.5-2 fps. Even on clips with HD Resolution and in mp4 format with low bitrate. FPS of the clip and the timeline are matching.

I am clueless since on this second machine Premiere Pro works fine but I don't want to use two different programs and would rather stick to Resolve.

Can anybody give me a hint or help me out?

Thank you so much in advance,
Dirk

Try un install the GPU driver and do a clean and complete, not update, of the current GPU driver for that GPU. Then turn off auto windows update.

That's not really possible with Windows 10.

It still is. Go to service.msc, set windows update service to disabled, then change its logon user to guest. The last step is the important bit.

Don't recommend that last bit. I've seen things go weird without Admin access. So I'll keep my earlier statement in tact.

No. I work for the company that makes that OS.

Thanks a lot for your replies and your assistance.
The solution was something completely different. One guy from our IT deparatement opened service ticket in our mother company. So an application called "Sentinel One" got disabled for an hour and as soon it was disabled I could work fine without any problems!
Out IT departement is working on a solution right now.
If anyone else is affected by this: Sentinel One Version is 4.6.12.241 that causes these problems on my machine.

Thanks a lot for your assistance again!
