Hi so this is make second post and I was told I need to add some info so i hope that I'm doing it right buttt if not can ya help me. My Davinci resolve isn't working I use to work a lot on Davinci using the 15 but my dumb self though about upgrade to maybe the 16 or the 17 for more stuff. Well the download & installing for everything when smooth however the 16 will not load pass the loading screen when you start it up and when i downloaded the 17 the app will load up properly however when I go to click on my project the app will crash. After running some test I notice that when I open a blank project EVERYTHING loads up fine I can even place a audio track into the timeline and hear and edit it fine. However every time I place a video(MP4) into the app as media it crashes. Here are some spec for my laptop its not a high grade laptop however I was hoping since it can load the 17 and work prefect without the media that it could be another problem that can be fix and I can go back to editing videos again.

I might be wrong, but your RAM might be too low at 8GB. If I recall, DaVinci needs 16GB minimum with 32GB recommended if you use Fusion.

Have you tried rolling back to your previously-working version?

Why 3 post about the same problem ?

You need to download a 2021 computer for dr ver 17 ! Your computer are limit to dr ver 15 !

I tried looking for it but I can't find it is there I way I can redownload it then install it again??

Databases aren't backwards compatible. Unless you have a copy of that Database from version 15 that was never updated, you won't be able to work in version 15.

As Jim says, if you updated your database to 17 and did not export a copy before doing so, you are stuck with 17. This is explained in the installation notes. Unfortunately if you did not save your version 15 database your only real option now is to upgrade your computer to a more capable one that can run version 17.
