Viewing rendering timeline

PostMon Jul 26, 2021 1:40 pm

I'm not sure if this is a Resolve 17 thing, but I used to love watching the picture as it rendered to check that everything was looking good. But now it just parks on the last frame I was on when I hit "start render" for the entire render process. Is there any way to fix this?

Are you asking about Cache, or exporting from Deliver?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

It is less stressful on the system to not have to actually play an image during the render. But I agree, it's kind of nice to glance over and take a look at what's happening. I generally keep it on "Minimal" just so I see the picture changing every so often, and I also make sure that "Timeline Timecode" is set on the upper right of the Delivery page Viewer. At least that way, I know the frames are going by and the render is happening, even if the image is momentarily stuck.
