Edit Page: Fine Tune Modifier Key?

PostMon Jul 26, 2021 4:22 pm

When adjusting something like a retime curve, or even audio waveform, is there a modifier key/setting to fine tune the adjustments in smaller increments?

I couldn't find one.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Nope. And has been requested multiple times even in the short period I've been reading these forums.

Personally I use a mouse with adjustable DPI (precision) via some extra buttons, but that doesn't help most people.

This is a really maddening feature omission.

+1 ... indeed, a universal 'gear down' modifier would be handy for pretty much any mouse based interaction, regardless of page.
Let's have a return to the glory days, when press releases for new versions included text like "...with over 300 new features and improvements that professional editors and colorists have asked for."

On Fusion you can hold Control/Cmd while dragging sliders to move in small increments. And when moving viewer controls (eg points in a mask) with the keyboard, you can hold down control/cmd to move in 0.1 steps, or shift to move by 10 steps.

Sadly these usability features, and a number more I could name, have not yet made their way outside of the Fusion page.
