I render without crashes constantly. Given the number of Hollywood films using Resolve, I imagine that's a pretty common experience.

If you're interested, we might be able to help you sort things out. A good place to start is by reading the FAQ for Resolve. If that alone doesn't actually solve the problem, it also tells you what information you should post here in the forums so that folks can try to help.

Second that. It renders fine here day-in day-out (as long as I don't use the integrated version of Fusion).
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

I haven't had resolve crash in over 6 months, use it everyday using all different camera formats and a variety of workflows.

I understand that might not be your experience but just know that your's is not everyones else's and there may be something other than the software at play causing some of your crashes.

Recently I had to work with a Mac mini without the eGPU and some sources were out of the UMP 12K.
It was incredibly slow, but we needed stills only. I was able to handle 12K sources in a 8K timeline without a single crash, which I never expected.
To give you any advice, we need complete information from your side.

To me, the moment I added a pic and it crashed the first time, it always started crashing at 10%. Ill try creating a new timeline, as suggested by some guy on Youtube.

This is after 24 hours of trying to render a long video. I get that it crashes with TIFF, maybe even PNG, but with JPG, pls

Without more details about your machine, GPU in particular, timeline settings and the format you want to render, nobody can help you.

I have rendered a 5 hour 4k 60 fps video of an event with no problem, albeit in 24 hours. I add a JPG, and the thing continues to crash. I dont think an image should f up the cache that much, what do you think

Same thing with Fusion transitions. Of course its all on GPU and RAM. But should I heavy edit 4k 60 fps and normal transitions, even frequent smooth cut transitions, and then crash on JPG and simple Fusion transitions? That's all on Blackmagic sir.

Without the details asked for in the FAQ, it's difficult if not impossible for us to speculate on why it's crashing.

Give that FAQ a good read.
