Disturbing reflections - streaks

PostTue Jul 27, 2021 2:53 pm

I enclose two screenshots from a viedoeclip in which the street lamps cause annoying vertical stripes. What is the possibility of getting these streaks away?

I use DaVinci Resolve 16.2.8. My equipment is weak, I know that. But so far it has been enough.
Windows 10, Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-8100 CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz, 24,0 GB (23,9 GB verwendbar).

Moved to Resolve forum.

I presume these are generated in camera?
What GPU do you have in the system?

It wont be trivial to fix but you likely can with Fusion if your system was more powerful.. maybe the Object Removal Resolve FX tool.. assuming you have Studio version and a current GPU.

Thank you for the answer. My Graphik is Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630

Yes, I can already see the stripes on the camera display when taking the picture.

Hmmm.

Kinda looks like anamorphic flare, but those are typically horizontal.

What camera was used here? I've seen similar artifacts from CCD shooting into LED lights.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

With only that GPU its going to be challenging as i doubt the ResolveFX object removal can work.

If the camera is panning you will have parts of the image not obscured by the tear and you can try placing one copy of the image over the other, offsetting one in time and then keying through to the second image where node sizing can move the good image to line up with the offset. Alternatively its a rota and paint task.

Hello!

The Kamera was Panasonic FZ50.
The Videos are 20 and 21 years old. My pc is weak. I am 84, therefore I will not work on it until the end of my life.

Thank you very much.

From your name, it seems you are German.
You might want to post your problem on the German forum: http://www.davinci-resolve-forum.de

It's a small community with some nice people. Hopefully, if your shots are not too long, someone with a better machine would like to help you just for the challenge.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Yep, that's a CCD camera.

My choice would be to leave it. Removing it will cost more time/money than it's worth, and still may not succeed.
