Lagging Media pool

Hi fellow resolvers,

I'd like to cut my videos in the cutting page, to then export them as individual clips. However, my files from the media pool are lagging, which makes it difficult to cut it properly. I'd tried to optimise media and render cache, but none of those things seem to help. So anyone knows how to change the quality of the previews so that cutting becomes easier?
