swap ingoing/outgoing clip in shape transition ?

PostSun Aug 01, 2021 7:27 am

OK this is very very basic....
I couldn't find how to simply swap incoming & outgoing clip in a shape transition...
I see how to reverse the effect animation using the Transition Curve, but I don't see how to swap incoming/outgoing clip (e.g. inside of heart shape vs backgroud)
I want e.g. to finish a timeline with a zooming out heart shape: when applying the heart shape transition at the end of the clip, the outgoing clip is the background and the heart is black: I want the opposite....How do I accomplish that....go to Fusion page ??

You'd have to reverse the clips in the timeline. (Probably not what you want, though.)
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

In Avid MC there's a "Swap Sources" checkbox...

I made a short video showing how to do an 'iris to black' transition in Resolve. It's not possible to do a simple reverse iris transition between clips. This is the only way I have found.
