speed editor + Miini panel?

will they run at the same time?
or
deselect Mini / select SpeedEditor -then- deselect SpeedEditor / select Mini in panel options?

It works over here in Linux just fine. Mini panel is connected via usb. Just connected the speed editor, didn‘t have to select it anywhere..
