My process is pretty straight forward. While using the CUT page, I'm looking at an audio file. I select the IN and OUT points that I need, and usually I click "APPEND" on my speed editor keyboard and it appends the clip to the end of my timeline. However, this is not happening.
The Resolve manual (p. 453) suggests I have to select a track to append to by clicking the track header, and that upon doing so the selected track is highlighted. There is no further information what this looks like, but I believe I have a track selected. However, the append function does not append the content to the end of the timeline on the selected track, it adds it to the selected track at the where the last
video track ends. Is this normal behavior?
Interestingly, when I delete the second audio track (hoping that 'APPEND' will add clips to the sole remaining audio track), it still does not -- clicking APPEND just automatically creates a new audio track and adds the clip there, right at the point on the timeline where the last video clip ends.
Here's a video to demonstrate / explain it better:
Like I said in the video, this is just as likely to be my own failure rather than a bug because this is complex stuff, so any pointers would be appreciated.
