It looks like the same issue that causes problems with R17 proxies when using non-square PAR clips is also causing the same issues with the "Render in Place" feature.
I'm working in a 720x480 Widescreen timeline, using non-square PAR media, and when I try to do a Render in Place, the "replaced" file is squished in the X axis.
