Sync multiple video clips to 1 audio clip using timecode

PostThu Aug 05, 2021 10:19 pm

So here's the scenario. We are using the Tentacle Sync Track E recorders in a reality show type situation. They are a self contained lav pack that records to a SD card and we are jamming audio to a red camera.

So this results in 1 long audio track and lots of smaller RED clips (Camera was stopped and started while the Tentacle Sync kept recording)

You think it would be easy to sync all of the red clips to the single audio clip but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

Auto align based on timecode only shows in the right click menu if you have just two clips selected.

When syncing clips in a timeline, you can only select one clip per track. The clip on the lowest track will be the one that stays put.

Knowing that, you can put the audio on A1, and leave V1 blank so that the audio will always be the one that doesn't move.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
