Problems rendering Entire Timeline in Deliver Page with v17.

PostSat Aug 21, 2021 8:09 pm

I am using Resolve 17.2.2 with an iMac Catalina.

I have had this problem 2 times.

After editing my video when I go to the Deliver page it will not let me choose Render: Entire Timeline. It is stuck in In/Out Range.

So when I try to Render my video it will only render the first few seconds and then it stops.

I never set an in and out range in my video. But I was able to solve the problem but putting an In mark at the first frame and an Out mark at the last frame.

On the last video this happened to, at first it was rendering no problem. But after a few renders, the last time I tried to Render it had this problem. All I had done was some color editing after the last Render when I could choose to Render Entire Timeline.

What would cause this problem? Is it a bug in 17.2.2? How can I fix it?

I tried quitting Resolve but it is still a problem when I reopen that file.

Go back to your edit page and clear your in and out points there.

Thank you.

But why would Resolve inadvertently set in and out points when I did not intentionally set them?

Also why would I not have the choice to use Entire Timeline when it is there in the drop down menu but it will not let me use that option?

Is this a bug with Resolve?

Resolve is not sentient. An accidental hit if the X key will mark in/out. One would want those points to carry forward to deliver from edit. By not allowing you to do it from the deliver page, it’s telling you just that. It’s not allowing you to inadvertently override your previous marks. One would want more precise options from the Edit page.

Normally you can set, clear or ignore In/Out points from Deliver. There's no need to go to Edit.

My experience, anyway.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Press Alt+X to clear any set I/O ranges, then see if your render will work.
