Davinci Resolve 17: Fix white balance

PostWed Sep 15, 2021 9:08 am

Hi,

my colleague forgot to set white balance to fixed so I got a footage whose white balance is variable. I can notice that because the green background (we're using greenkey) changes between "cold" and "warm" green.

Can I fix the white balance with Davinci Resolve 17? Like I could pick the green area (the prefered one) and remaining frames will all have the same green color as I just picked.

Best regards

If that doesn’t help, you may need manual keyframing.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Sorry, I forgot this thread. No I didn't try that. Will try that out this weekend and report if that helped.
UPDATE: Just tried, but didn't work as I hoped because the color still varies.

@Uli Plank: What does "manual keyframing" mean? (I'm still a Davinci-Noob  and keep learning...)

Thank you

On the color page's right side, you can switch to keyframing with the 'diamond' icon.
With that enabled for the correctors you need (small diamond getting red by clicking), you can adjust all values in the respective node over time.
You may want to do some training first.
