XML from Premiere Pro with ursa mini pro 12k footage

PostMon Sep 20, 2021 4:56 pm

Hi guys, I shot footage on Ursa Mini Pro 12k using dual card recording and the clips come in 2 formats with the same file name eg A001_0941512_C001.braw and A001_0941512_C001.braw2.
The clips can import well in premiere pro using media browser as one single file with full frame rates.
The issue I'm having is the exported xml from premiere pro has failed to link the clips in davinci 17.3.1.
When I export an xml from resolve to premiere, all is good but the other way round can't find the clips and hence can't import the clips.
How can you help me

Using Resolve 17.3.1
Braw2.1, premiere pro 2021 (15.4.1)
Imac 17 4gb graphics, 32 gb ram

I don't have experience of that camera or format Solomon, but given the problem, I'd try importing the media to the project first ie before you import the xml

Hi thanks but that method has failed too. When I look at the two xml files in a text file editor, the resolve xml has the two braw extension files while the premiere pro xml only has one braw extension in it.
I beleive that's why the program is failing to import the files from premiere pro

Am assuming if you've manually imported the clips you can now use the standard conform toolset to (manually) link the media to your timeline tho right?

Hi, still its not possible to conform the clips. I'm getting an error "media not able to link......"
What I've done however is to create proxies in resolve, offline the braw clips in premiere pro then replaced the clips manually. After I exported an xml with the mov files.
Imported the xml timeline without importing media and then imported the braw files and the timeline now links the mov files with the braw.
I guess that a work around for pple using premiere pro and ursa 12k dual card recording until it's sorted
