Nudge clip

PostTue Sep 21, 2021 7:00 am

Before 17 I use to be able to select a clip in the timeline. Hit the + or - key followed by a number and the clip would move ahead or behind the number frames in the timeline. For example if I selected a clip pressed the + key followed by the number 3 and enter the clip would move 3 frames ahead.

This is not working for me in R17, anyone else have this issue?

Mac OS

Thank,
Jim

Still works like I remember it.

Click on the timecode number in the top RHS of the viewer and add or subtract the needed amount.
The shot then shifts or slips by that amount depending on the edit mode

If the shot is selected then the , and . keys move it one frame at time

Working fine for me in macOS, using the method described in the OP:

- Press +
- Type 123 and hit Enter
- Clip moves forward 123 frames

As Jack says, the + shortcut is activating the Timeline viewer timecode control. So you're actually typing in a number up here:

Maybe your keyboard shortcuts got changed. Check the assignment of Timecode -> Increment Timecode:

Thanks much everyone!

It was the keyboard settings and I NEVER would have found the setting without the previous post direction.
I look forward to having this feature working again.
