Resolve Reloads/Scans Audio Plugins on Launch everytime.
Posted: Tue Sep 21, 2021 1:56 pmWhen launching Resolve it always seems to go through and Reloads/Scans Audio Plugins, this has caused issues where I once Lost audio plugins on a big mix which were mission-critical to that mix.
I had to Re-Launch Resolve for them to appear for the 2nd time and I believe all settings were retained.
One of the biggest fears when using VST's as a part of any NLE is losing the plugin or settings upon reopening the project, Why did resolve do this? Why does resolve rescan every time? It rescans the same plugins.
EDIT 1: Windows 10, Resolve 17.1 Build 24 happening since probably Resolve 16.
My drives stay connected and are all located on the same drive, no new plugins are being installed, It definitely happens after every launch but is very quick, After every reboot it's longer.
My main problem is because I actually once lost plugins, was this because I opened a project before it finished is that why I lost plugins before? If so that makes me feel safer that I should just wait.
EDIT 2: I just figured out, because I have so many plugins, It might actually be some plugins are failing to load or initialize or loading non VST plugins like the .DLL files, I should check which ones load at the start and try removing them, however, this doesn't fix the problem I had once that I lost Working plugins at one point.
