Hi all,
1) It is a pity to lose the output timeline blanking when you switch to clip mode. You want to modify left right in clip mode of all the photos but you lose the blanking up and down that you have to put back manually. A hell of a situation for a documentary in Dolby where you have to analyze the shots. Can you put blanking output + blanking clip by checking a box because 300 clips where you have to put back the main blanking is not great. Or else leave it when you click on blanking clip and only modify. Dolby hell !!!
2) In Ouput Sizing > Save as New Preset it is not possible to save a setting in Blanking Clip. This would be useful when you lose the up-down blanking information when switching from timeline to clip mode (already a problem) and you want to apply identical left-right values to several shots before the Dolby analysis.
3) Not having information about which output blanking is selected in Timeline > Output Blanking is very dangerous when adapting some clips to Dolby. We had 600 shots out of 1000 in a program that had to be adjusted left and right before Dolby analysis. Since we did not have the Top and Bottom values, we had to adjust them for all 600 shots. A colorist didn't see which output blanking he was in, so he wanted to check. He clicked on 1.33 and put back 2.35. The 600 clips lost the left/right values because the clips were selected.
Sorry I don't speak English, I use a translator
Thank you
