Mouse/Keyboard Freeze When Clips Play

I've noticed that when I play my video clips, I can't pause the video or move my mouse, nothing on the keyboard responds.

I don't know if it's related, but when I move my cursor over thumbnails of videos, it slows down and drags the mouse slowly across it.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Moved to Resolve forum as im guessing you are referring to Resolve.

Please list some details as per FAQs as its not an issue we are seeing here.

It sounds like a possible lack of computer resources, or you have something plugged in via USB like a webcam etc which is taking priority over Resolve.
Give us full details of your system including OS, amount of RAM, GPU and its driver version, version of Resolve and whether Free or Studio. You can't give too much information.

I have been having a similar issue with 17.3.1 Studio (and up-to-date Win10 Pro) and never seen it before since I started with DR 15. My mouse movements are many times lagging and stuttering, and it happens while playing a video on the edit page but many times it happens when I am just moving the mouse to do normal editing. It is very strange because my main computer resource usages are all fine-GPU, CPU, disk, and RAM. All usages can be in the single digits to 20 some percent and it still happens. It also seems to be worse with my Logitech wireless mouse than the touchpad on my laptop but it still is bad with the touchpad.

Also, I have 32GB RAM, a 6GB RTX 2060 (now running September 2021 Nvidia Studio drivers but was running last month's and nothing changed), and it has Ryzen 4800H CPU.

Are we the only two people this has happened to?

No. It happened to me too. I was using a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse. Keyboard remains active but mouse hangs when playing back video. Solution? I plugged in a wired mouse to a different port. No freezing.

Not sure what this indicates other than something perhaps associated with port resources.
