LUT version

PostSat Sep 25, 2021 7:44 am

I have applied a LUT version 1.00 on my clips
Now a different LUT version 1.01 comes out
Question: How can I automatically make the new version applied/active to the clips without having to go to each clip to replace the current LUT 1.00 to 1.01?

with Regards
Harry

If you are talking about a LUT that you downloaded and added I'd say just replace the LUT file.
Although I'm not sure if Resolve re-reads LUTs from the source after applying them and opening the project again.

If it doesn't it might be better, depending on your node setup, put all the clips that need that LUT into a group and place the LUT on the Pre or Post group node tree instead of on the clips themselves.
That keeps you more flexible as it's just one place you are adding that LUT.

Well the Lut has a different version name, so I guess I have to follow your workflow :-) although I am not yet familiar to grouping nodes etc...

Do you mean the file name?
It really doesn't matter, the format of a lut is the same it's just a big table of numbers in a text file.
I'd say try replacing the "old version" first.
