drop clips to timeline by timecode

PostMon Sep 27, 2021 6:10 pm

Hi,
Honestly, I searched the forum and google, tried to find it in the manual, but did not find a very simple and necessary function.
For example, I have a movie and I have 1-2-100 clips of patches for it. All of these clips have the correct timecode.
How can I put all these clips on the timeline, on the selected video track, so that each clip would be on its own timecode in one simple move?

You can select all the clips, tag the angle with the same name and then "create a new multicam clip Using selected clips" choosing:
– start timecode : the start timecode of the first clip
– Angle sync : "Timecode"
– Angle Name : "Metadata - Angle
– check "Detect clip from same camera"
– Detect Using : Metadata - Angle
– uncheck "move Source…"
You obtain a Multicam clip with all the clip placed at the right timecode

that is, there is no easy way?
And if I need to add 2 clips to an existing timeline?
For example, select a clip and press a keyboard shortcut and it will fit on the timeline on your timecode?

I tested Colorfront Transkoder and I was amazed by this feature - you switch the timeline to tc mode and just press the "V" button on the selected clips - and that's it - the clips will be placed on the timeline in accordance with their timecode.

In AP and Resolve, you need to open the clip in source, see its initial timecode, move the cursor to this timecode and drop the clip.
