One thing to try. When using the Focusrite with it's ASIO driver make sure that in the Control Panel/Sound/Playback menu in Windows, any entries for the interface are not selected to be used for Windows audio.
YOU SIR are a legend! Even though the problem is'nt completely gone, it has drastically reduced the amount of crackling that I hear, by about 80 to 90%. I also tried to play with the 16 bit and 24 bit depth, but this doesnt seem to make a difference. However, ONE tiny thing still happens now. When I use multicam clips with clips from different camera's somehow it still does the same crackling thing whenever I have SONY A7III Footage in that specific multicam clip selected. So, mixed audio from DAW, but when I choose a GH5 angle, no problem, I switch to a Sony angle, same old problem.. Any idea how this could be? Since the audio stays exactly the same, only the chosen videolayer is changed.
Anyway, MASSIVE thanks already! Now I'm gonna try to re-enable Nvidia hardware encoding, since this only made the problem worse in the past. Fingers crossed!
