Resolve 17 Studio crashes loading Fairlight Page

PostThu Oct 14, 2021 11:16 pm

I'm trying to run DaVinci Resolve 17 Studio on my PC since a very long time now, which is why I'm posting in this forum here.

Always when I want to start the program, it crashes while "Loading Fairlight Page".
Trying to solve the issue, i've reinstalled Resolve probably around 15 times - including deleting every folder containing information about the program.

I'm really looking foward finally being able to use DaVinci Resolve for my works and I hope we can find a solution together.

If useful, here's my system info:
=================================================
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor (4 GHz)
Graphic Board: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
RAM: 12 GB
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise Insider Preview 64-Bit-Version (10.0, Build 15007)

My guess is the CPU is too old, i see it was released in 2012.
that said, the FAQs above detail how to generate a diagnostic log

In a File Explorer window, go to:

C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve

and run CaptureLogs

This will place a Resolve log file named similar to this on your Windows desktop: DaVinci-Resolve-logs-20181228_140434.zip (You may not see the .zip extension if your system is set to hide known extensions).

Then open Windows System Information and do a File - Save (Not a File Export), which will generate a .NFO file.

Place both those files on a file sharing site and provide links to the files here.

If you are a new Forum user, you may not be allowed to post URLs. If this happens, just put a space near the front of the URL, so the system doesn't think it's a URL.

You have a VERY old NVIDIA driver installed for the GTX 1050 Ti GPU.

Go to the NVIDIA driver download site and install the current STUDIO driver for your GPU.

When you run the driver installer, select the Custom install option and select to do a Clean install.

If the new driver doesn't help, please send another Resolve log and NFO file.
