I don't think Lightworks and HitFilm are easier to use than Resolve's cut page (maybe slightly - but maybe that's through the eyes of someone who is also familiar with Media Composer and Premiere so I don't really find Resolve hard to use, just different in some ways).
If the OP would like to learn Resolve for editing, I highly recommend tutorials from Ripple Training. They have excellent tutorials for core training, color grading and working with Fairlight. They aren't free but they are well thought out and executed and come with project media so you can follow along.
