Can I export audio to Pro Tools / AAF without renaming clips

PostFri Oct 15, 2021 8:57 pm

I’m attempting to export some Resolve projects to be edited (just the audio) in Pro Tools. I’ve managed to figure out how to get an AAF export done with handles, but I cannot figure out how to stop resolve from renaming all the clips (adding a prefix) even though I have unticked the relevant settings. I think.

Is there a way to do this? I essentially want to be able to bring in the original source audio where a file is missing or where I want to replace bits, but when the audio clips are renamed it makes it impossible for Pro Tools to match the source files to the clips.

I hope this makes sense! Thanks.

No, you can't! But it would be nice if it were possible...

Thanks - that’s a tad annoying but it’s actually just really useful to know it’s not possible so I can stop trying!
