Please help! Sound editing

PostMon Oct 18, 2021 6:54 am

Hi,

I am new to this forum and in desperate need of some assistance. I have a lot of experience in video editing but very little in sound editing. I am facing this issue with all my recordings and I can't find which filter or parameter to alter to make the "hissing" sound behind the dialogue disappear. ANY SUGGESTIONS???? I can share the sound file if needed.

I am sure I can simply just 'tweak' this in DaVinci Resolve - Fairlight? But we have a advanced studio setup, specifically to avoid this, and now I am sure the values are not set correctly.

I have to say "an advanced studio setup" does not make you immune from problems. However, you could try the Noise Reduction plug-in on the Fairlight page either on individual clips, or as in the pic, inserted onto the track. Look at page 3355 of the Resolve manual.
