Resolve 17.3.1 Build 8 - Media off line

PostWed Oct 20, 2021 9:31 am

Good morning all.

Resolve 17.3.2 Build 8
iMac 21" OSX 16.2 2017 model

After installing the above update I now find that all my previous projects show the video files as being off line.
I shutdown the programme and restarted but still the same.
I shutdown the iMac and rebooted but still the same.

With Resolve open I created a new project and imported all the files I had used in the most recent project and was able to edit and deliver as before.

I assume that the database has become 'locked' during the upgrade.

How do I unlock the database to be able to work on earlier projects.

Many thanks in advance.

*** Update ***

I have downloaded version 17.4 build 12 but still the problem persists.

Opening a historical project (earlier than 17.3.1 build 8) still shows the media as off line.
Clicking on the red chain link icon to re-link the video files takes me to the Finder window but the files are greyed out.

I can import the files to a new project created in 17.4 b12 no problem.

Any suggestion?
[not rude ones please!!]

****** Bumping this up to the top again ******

I have downloaded ver 17.4.1.Build 4
Installed it
Rebooted the iMac
Started Resolve
Opened one of the previous projects
The media is still showing "Media Off-Line"
Tried the red Relink icon and the dialogue nows shows the desired folder and the Locate button.
Navigating to the desired files and they are shown greyed out.

Anybody from, Blackmagic reading or paying attention to this?

Regards,

Gerry
