Which graphics port to use

PostWed Oct 20, 2021 3:37 pm

Hi

An odd thought occurred to me. I have a new PC: Asus ProArt B550 motherboard with an HDMI and a DP video output. the CPU is a Ryzen9 5950 and there is 126GB RAM. The Graphics card is an NVIDIA 3080Ti

At the moment the 2 1080HB monitors are on the 3080TI However would I be better plugging them into the motherboard and leaving the 3080 for Resolve to use for the editing? It was just a thought, I don't do gaming just video editing.

Ryzen 9 5950 is not an iGPU, so video ports on the motherboard are of absolutely no use to you.
