Color Grading/VFX Connect works with Rec.709 not Wide Gamut

PostThu Oct 21, 2021 6:49 am

The subject line basically says it all. I am now working with Fusion Studio quite a bit - and since this spans Resolve and Fusion, I'm not sure which forum is most appropriate to post this in.

When I create a VFX Connect Clip, if I have RCM (Davinci YRGB Color Managed) selected and the Resolve Color Management Preset set to Rec.709, it renders the composition media, opens in Fusion, and everything is beautiful. However, if I have the switch the preset to "Wide Gamut," grade the footage, and proceed create a VFX Connect Clip, the media in the composition it creates (and launches) looks like the source footage (.braw -- flat log footage).

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
