4K on HD

PostSat Oct 23, 2021 10:45 pm

Hi,
Is there a way to mix the option to "Center crop with no resizing" for some clips and "Scale entire image to fit" with others? It seems to change all clips to one or the other even after added to the time line. This way I could mix 4K video I want to zoom or pan on with footage that I want to keep completely in frame on the HD timeline. Thanks!

The option in the project settings changes the project-wide behavior, but you can override on a per-clip basis in the inspector panel.

There's no need to override 'scale entire image to fit'. You can zoom and reposition the 4K clips making use of the full 4K resolution, on an HD timeline.

UHD 4K fits in HD evenly, yes, but DCI 4K doesn’t.
