17.4 and multi channel audio outputs on Linux

PostSun Oct 24, 2021 3:48 pm

Release note for 17.4 says that multichannel audio support was added for Linux.

However both Preferences and Fairlight assignment only see 2 ALSA channels ( System Audio )
Does it mean 2-ch limitation is not addressed for Linux/ALSA audio in this release or some additional configuration is required?
We are providing remote reviews workflows for AWS Resolve and Desktop Video device is not an option.

Thank you

I've also been struggling with this issue. I have multichannel output configured in both PulseAudio and ALSA, but only two ALSA output channels are ever displayed. Would love to know if I'm missing something.
