Resolve 17.4 and Sony Venice on M1 MBP

Just upgraded to Resolve 17.4 on an Apple M1 MBP 13" with 16GB RAM.
Sony Venice clips opened fine on the same system with Resolve 17.3.2

After upgrade, Sony Venice clips appear as 'folders', whether I import by drag and drop or Import with right click. Even if I drill down to the actual clip and import only that, issue persists. Clips appear to be folders which if you open the arrow to the left, you see a marker in each.

Same system I uninstalled Resolve 17.4 and reinstalled 17.3.2 and the problem went away. Clips appear as clips.

I also have Resolve Studio 17.4 on the same system but the App Store version. In that too, this occurs. But I can't uninstall and go back on that as the App Store no longer has Resolve 17.3.2.

I'm not seeing the folder problem but I have the same first frame of every shot marker problem on my F55 files.
17.4 is now parsing the Sony camera XML files and something is being mis-read.
Some data is correct and is available in the metadata fields.

I can't reproduce that here, pulling in a folder with Venice clips is still working the same as in 17.3.x.
But I can confirm that there's a marker on every first frame.

same here...
one turnaround is to temporary take out from the clip folders the xml files...
without the xml you can do "add folders and subfolders into media pool" and the clip are there....
as before...
another turnaround is to do on each clip folder "add folder into media pool" and then do undo,
only the clip stays in the media pool...
but even stranger for me is that we are shooting at 4k with the Venice - 4096 x 2160 -
with anamorphic lenses, and in the media pool and clip metadata what appears is - 8192 x 4320 -
twice the real size....and sony venice doesnt even shoot in 8k.....
is this a 17.4 bug?

Not sure if the wrong metadata is a bug in DR as the Sony Catalyst Browse app mis-reads some data fields from my F55. While both get the frame size correct, I always shoot with a 180 degree shutter and both the Sony app and DR mis read this as 360.
If you have Catalyst Browse, check the data there first.
Might be a Sony bug and good luck trying to get that fixed or even acknowledged.

i think it's a DR bug...
i did watch it before in RAW VIEWER from Sony, and yes, i also watch in Catalyst...
and both say 4096 x 2160....
i don't think its a Sony bug....
DR is not interpreting well Venice metadata.....in my opinion....

Resolve 17.4.1 was released today with this specifically in the list of features. Unintentional markers in Sony Venice clips.
