Text is spilling out its layer on the timeline

PostMon Oct 25, 2021 10:22 am

After the new update, text now spills out its layer on the timeline, which becomes annoying when you have a few lines of text on a video, just a quick example of what's happening here

That appears to be a bug. You're not likely to get much help on these forums. I would suggest creating a bug report from within Resolve. They're really responsive and will let you know exactly what they need to complete the report.

A lot of help is available on the forum, but it needs someone else to have experienced the issue to offer help. You are more likely to get a response if you give a lot more information such as OS, GPU and its driver version, ram, and screen resolution, etc. It can help to put system info in your signature similar to mine.

It may be a monitor scaling issue. But first of all have you tried a UI Reset which is found in the Workspace drop down menu?
I cannot reproduce this on a 1080 timeline and HD monitors.
Resolve Studio 19.0b1 build 20
Dell XPS 8700 i7-4790, 24GB RAM, 2 x Evo 860 SSDs, GTX1060/6GB (551.86 Studio Driver), Win10 Home (22H2), Speed Editor, Faderport mk1, Eizo ColorEdge CS230 + BenQ GW2270 + Samsung SA200, Canon C100mk2, Zoom H2n.

I'll try that! I've had responses from BMD on here before but 3/3 times they take me through a huge process of uploading my entire project for them and then stop replying so I just rely on community now haha

4k monitor so maybe that's where it's happening, only happened with the two most recent updates
