Keywords Bug?

Hello all,

I have an error with the keyword input for multiple clips.
First I select the appropriate clips, go to Keywords and type in, via the Save button everything is saved without error.

However, if I use other methods:
1. am not fast enough to click save after typing....
2. if I click somewhere else...
3. if I press enter instead of save...
...I get this message: Would You like to apply your metadata changes?

If I now press apply to confirm:
1. my program hangs and gives no feedback until I close it OR
2. it closes immediately.
When I press discard the program also closes.
Can anybody help me?

My system requirements are:

System: Windows 10 DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.4
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor
RAM: 32GB G.Skill Riplaws DDR4-3200 16 Dual Kit
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Vision D-P ATX AM 4
GPU: AORUS GeForce RTX 3080 MASTER 320bit 10GB
Storage: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 4TB
Samsung SSD 980 PRO 500 GB

I wish in general that DaVinci would give error messages when it closes for no apparent reason. This way I as a user can better think about what I did wrong and am not directly tempted to write in the BMD forum.

Is Resolve crashing or is the application hanging?

Generate a log after a crash: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=90190#17

Include a link to the logs hosted on a file sharing service (e.g. Dropbox or WeTransfer) if the file is too large to attach to a post.

I am also experiencing a series of very annoying bugs: during the insertion of keywords the clip in which I am inserting the keywords seem to be deselected (but its not), making the whole palette with the metadata fields disappear. Other times, always during the keyword insertion operations, DaVinci unexpectedly exits.
This makes the keyword insertion operations really difficult.

Marco is this on a Windows system?

both happened, the program hung or crashed.
Today I tried to simulate my errors from yesterday again to be able to send you the log files. For now, DaVinci processed everything flawlessly without hanging or crashing. (Maybe it had too many background render things going on yesterday and that's why it kept crashing?! I don't know...) At some point it hung briefly (grayed out screen) and not even a second later it crashed. After DaVinci crashed I restarted it and liked to stress it out a bit, thinking I may have clicked too much yesterday. DaVinci wouldn't budge today and added or discarded all the keywords on as many clips as I wanted.

Hi Reynaud, sorry, no is on MacOS (now I've included my system spec in my signature).
The bug is pretty persistent, i tried to reboot my mac but this didn't fix the problem.
I am sure the previous version did not have this problem, I have been inserting keywords in many clips for several days and everything worked great.

Unfortunately not reproducing on a machine running Mojave either.

It is worth noting that Mojave is no longer supported and so with each new Resolve release, system stability and performance will deteriorate - something I can attest to especially with lower spec'd machines.
