Video Display issues on 10 bit footage in 17.4

PostTue Oct 26, 2021 9:03 pm

Hi there,

I'm reaching out as I recently purchased a Panasonic S5 and upon trying to edit some 10-bit, V-Log footage I've run into some serious issues when viewing the footage, which look almost like blocky datamoshing.

Initially I thought the footage was corrupted, but I've opened it on a range of different media players and have even opened it in Resolve on other computers without having any issues, so am stumped about why this glitch is happening on my PC in particular.

Here's some details on my system in particular:

PC: Dell XPS 9570
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with Max-Q Design (Dell)

I've also attached one of the files that isn't displaying properly, a screen recording of the issue in action (excuse the low frame rate) as well a screenshot of the issue and a copy of that specific project's logs here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

Let me know if any of you have any ideas of why this may be happening!

Cheers
